The Father maintained the balance between his Son and his Daughter, who were incarnations of the light and dark sides of the Force, respectively, in order to keep the force in balance and the galaxy from being altered by their existance.
Upon the death of the Father, his spirit vanished into the force. With this act the monestry and Mortis it self began to shatter, remanants of Mortis that are found have said to contain the spirit of the Father and are the rarest of crystals known to exist as they are the most pure form of the Force
